Real People. Real Purpose.

We’re not a curriculum company.
We’re a team of volunteer practitioners who give our time to share what we’ve learned about purpose, resilience, and building a life that matters.

Guided by “Non scholae sed vitae discimus” (“We learn not for school, but for life”), we created a fixed, three-part journey delivered to a cohort of up to 50 students across the academic year.

All facilitators are DBS-checked and committed to creating safe, reflective spaces where students can explore without judgment - because insight grows in trust, not pressure.

What sets us apart?
While most school programmes focus on existing career paths, LifeWorks Insights teaches students to create their own. Our entrepreneurial lens runs through every session—because the future belongs to those who build it, not just navigate it.

LifeWorks Insights was co-founded by Victor Brittain-Wong and Mike Malan, who brought together a circle of practitioners united by a simple belief: young people deserve real conversations with real people who’ve lived it.

Meet our Team

Mike Malan
Lead Facilitator & Program Architect
At Chris Eley’s invitation in 2018, Mike ideated and created the Practical Success Principles Workshops: designing the session flow, content, slides, and multi-modal worksheets that form the heart of LifeWorks Insights.
Bringing over a decade of experience in live events; from supporting large-scale productions at Wembley Stadium to designing intimate gatherings, Mike co-founded LifeWorks Insights to translate real-world insight into safe, reflective spaces where young people can explore purpose, wellbeing, and entrepreneurial creativity.
Victor Brittain-Wong
Financial Management, Entrepreneur, Investor
Victor is a serial entrepreneur and financial strategist with 20+ years of experience across startups, SMEs, and multinationals in food, health, tech, and education. A Fellow of ACCA and Imperial College MBA alum, he’s founded ventures in ethnic food, disability inclusion, and assistive healthcare.
Co-founded LifeWorks Insights to teach young people that real entrepreneurship is about solving problems, not just having ideas. Victor is also a social investor, supporting micro-businesses in the developing world to eradicate poverty.
Chris Eley
International Educational Consultant
Chris is a former Deputy Headteacher with 16+ years of experience in East London secondary schools, where he championed growth mindset, student leadership, and career readiness—especially for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
In 2018, he invited Mike Malan to share real-world insights with students, sparking the creation of the Practical Success Principles Workshops.
Now based abroad, Chris serves as LifeWorks Insights’ International Educational Consultant, offering strategic guidance to ensure our programme remains inclusive, relevant, and impactful worldwide.
Marietta Birkholtz
Career Change Facilitator
Marietta is an experienced “What Color Is Your Parachute?” practitioner, personally trained by the book’s author, Richard Nelson Bolles.
With over 15+ years in cognitive-behavioural rehabilitation and career consulting, she pioneered Europe’s first “Parachute” programme for military leavers—earning her a “Runner-up for Best New UK Vocational Rehabilitation Initiative” award in 2017.
She now brings this empowering method to teens so they know their interests matter as much as their grades.
Mark Sanger
Mark has spent 20+ years supporting young people across London and Kent; from local authority youth work to engaging those not in education, employment, or training. As Senior Youth Coordinator at St Paul’s Crofton, he’s helped countless young people find positive pathways through conversation, belief, and practical support. Volunteers because he’s seen how resilience grows in relationship. Weekends = VW bus, family, and dog walks.
Noel Robinson
International Worship Artist
Noel Robinson is a leading figure in British Gospel music, with a career spanning decades and collaborations with global artists like Elton John, CeCe Winans, Chaka Khan, and the London Community Gospel Choir. He’s led worship at Wembley Stadium, Parliament, and festivals worldwide - and has mentored young people through music, leadership, and communication workshops for over 20 years.
Noel believes every student has a voice worth hearing. Often found with a guitar and an encouraging word.
